Mechanical CAD Engineer
You have a genuine passion for engineering in mechanics/mechatronics and want to contribute to bringing forth the most advanced offshore robotics equipment in the world. You love to work in an inspiring, entrepreneurial and fast-paced start-up/scale-up company. We are disrupting the offshore and maritime wind market with novel Motion Compensation Systems that allow to install green energy faster and more efficiently - important for our planet.
You will contribute to the team as lead Mechanical Design Engineer with your CAD and PLM expertise. You will:
- Develop complex 3D models and 2D drawings in Solid Edge
- Create drawings, scenarios and support operational analysis with 2D drawing work
- Calculate standard machine components and structures
- Support manufacturing and quality control during production of your designs
- Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to all products
- Design complex mechanisms, Gears, Motor assemblies, Sensors and Mechatronics for laboratory robotics testbeds
Requirements
- Track-record of successfully implementing CAD design in a Product Development and Manufacturing Context
- Min. 3 yrs CAD/CAE
- Min. 1-2 machines designed and seen successfully in end-to-end operation
- Min. 2 yrs experience with in-assembly and in-context design
- Experienced with PLM is an asset
- Experience with PDM is a plus
- Experience with detail drafting
- Experience with Solid Edge is a strong plus
- Good Mathematical understanding of standard calculus
- Strong desire to continuously learn
- Ability to help and teach others
- Embracing cultural difference
- Passion for mechancial design and advanced machines
- B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics / Aerospace
- M.Sc. is a plus (not not needed strictly)
